Chief Executive of Prisoners Abroad

Pauline Crowe - Pauline Crowe joined Prisoners Abroad as Chief Executive in July 2003 and was awarded an OBE in 2007 for the "extraordinary" work carried out by the charity on behalf of prisoners overseas. Pauline started her career in the commercial sector and has now spent over 25 years working in the voluntary sector in regional, national and international organisations in the fields of disability, medical research, membership and grant making. She was formerly the director of the London Community Foundation, and the deputy CEO of the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO). Under her leadership Prisoners Abroad has won a number of awards - The Longford Prize for Prisoners Abroad's 'determination, humanity and courage', a Metropolitan Police Service Operational Unit Commendation and most recently a Guardian Public Services Award for Service Delivery.
