Policy and development manager of Disability Rights UK

Philip Connolly is the policy and development manager of Disability Rights UK. He is partially sighted and has Parkinson’s disease. At Disability Rights UK he is also responsible for providing the secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Disability. He co-authored the report on their investigation into how the Government might fulfil its manifesto commitment to halving the disability employment gap, called “Ahead of the arc.” He has authored studies on the business case for vocational rehabilitation and the Reskilling Guide to support newly disabled people’s attachment to the labour market. He is qualified in teaching, environmental management and construction.
