Professor Michael Farthing

Vice-Chancellor at the University of Sussex

Professor Michael Farthing took up his post as Vice-Chancellor at Sussex in September 2007.

Professor Farthing has a distinguished background in medicine, both as a physician and as an academic, in a career spanning more than 30 years. Before coming to Sussex he was Principal of St George's, University of London, which specialises in medicine and health sciences. He was also Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Medicine for the University of London.
