Shingo Murakami is Managing Director at Rakuten’s and an Executive Leadership Committee member. He joined Rakuten’s in October 2011 and led the post-merger integration of Rakuten’s into the Rakuten group. Shingo is now driving Rakuten’s’s transformation to a merchant centric marketplace, which empowers and supports British SME retailers seeking to build their business online and grow sales digitally. Prior to Rakuten’s, Shingo was a management consultant at McKinsey&Company, serving the client companies in different industries from marketing, strategy building, and operational improvement in Japan and Germany.
