Timothy Long

Curator of Fashion & Decorative Arts at the Museum of London

Timothy Long is a curator with over 15 years experience working for the world’s top collections of historic dress, including the Chicago History Museum, New York’s Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Alexander McQueen archive in London. In his current role as curator of fashion and decorative arts at the Museum of London, Long works with a wide range of material dating back six centuries. His work focuses on the stories found within artefacts - looking at everything from the ways in which an item was designed and constructed, to the wear marks from a time when the piece was loved - in order to bring the wearer and their world to life.
