It's a Halloween theme this week and it was great to see the judges getting into the spirit of the night. Their masks were amazing!.. Oh hold on a minute.
Dermot opened the show with another scary dancing performance. He really does have no end of talent. And his mask was amazing too!! OK no more jokes.!! On with the show, let's hope it's a Thriller.
First up was Kye Sones, did he entertain me? Mildly. You can only do a Robbie classic if you are prepared to give it a different vibe. It felt a little blandness issuing the Robbie sparkle.
Band Union J followed, giving an excellent vocal performance, working the audience too. Mrs Midas said they remind her of 911 crossed with One Direction.
Hide behind the sofa kids, it's going to get really scary now...here comes Rylan. Just joking mate ;) I think Mrs Midas must have slipped a little something (toxic) into my drink cause I actually liked it. Good week for Mr Clark.
Ella Henderson is already a world class act but tonight, it was all a bit Adele. Don't get me wrong it was brilliant, but tonight wasn't unique.
Christopher Maloney must have come straight from the graveyard tonight, as he still had his coat on. Anyway, look I have nothing against Christopher, vocally, he is good, but the song choices are a horror, and whose idea was it to put the ship behind him...Perhaps they want him to sail away to oblivion?
Also, I usually remain tight lipped about any controversies but tonight's comment between Gary and Tulisa took the show to a new low. Yes, it will get the media talking but, yet again for the wrong reasons. Very sad.
District3 took on the Clockwork Orange look and as much as I like them, I think Union J won the battle of the bands tonight.
Jahmene to me, stole the show tonight. He didn't need the make up and scary production to give me a chill. He gave a faultless performance, still humbled by the whole experience. Long may he continue.
Jade Ellis is this years most underrated singer. Vocally she is one of the best in the competition and the judges must be watching someone else! I feel she is not getting equal exposure and they have written her off already. There is a market for her and I would sign her to my agency tomorrow.
James Arthur is undoubtedly a great talent. This track has been covered before on the live shows, but not with this unique sound. Getting stronger and stronger, every week. If I was an artist I would push to have him sing one of my tracks, just to hear what he does with it. Excellent.
Tonight's Halloween show has been the classic monster. Lots of treats, a few tricks and a BIG shocking moment. Let's see where the hammer will fall in the house tonight.
