A 103-year-old grandfather is set to become a world record holder as he plans to get a tattoo for his 104th birthday in April.

If he goes through with the inking, Jack Reynolds, from Derbyshire, will become the oldest person in the world known to have gotten a tattoo.

Reynolds agreed to his grandson's suggestion so he could raise money for the Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield.

His fundraising page has already exceeded his initial target of £1,000.

The grandfather is currently working out to build up muscle in his arm so he can get the tattoo. If the tattoo artist doesn't think his arm is big enough by April, Reynolds will have to have the tattoo on his bottom instead.

This isn't the first time the adventurous grandpa has made headlines.

In 2014 he became the oldest person known to have completed the Ice Bucket Challenge.

"I love using my age to help me with my fundraising," he said on his Just Giving page.

We wish Reynolds the best of luck with his latest challenge.
