Asda Is Selling Unicorn Crumpets And They're Truly Magical

But won't their horns get stuck in the toaster? 🦄

If you love unicorns and you love crumpets – and if not, why not? – we’ve found the perfect breakfast treat for you (or your kids).

Asda has launched unicorn-shaped crumpets to make breakfast time truly magical – that is, unless the horn gets stuck in the toaster, because then you’d only have a horse, which is less fun.

Crumpets aren’t the first edible foray into the world’s unicorn obsession – a few years ago we saw an Instagram-fuelled unicorn food trend where everything from lattes to cupcakes and bagels were given a sparkly, rainbow-coloured makeover. By comparison, Asda’s crumpets might seem a little dull – but the supermarket suggests topping them with raspberry jam to brighten them up.

A packet of four unicorns will set you back £1, while a packet of nine traditionally-shaped crumpets cost just 55p. Perhaps they’re best saved as a novelty pre-Pride breakfast or weekend brunch treat for your unicorn-obsessed offspring – of course, crumpets can (and should) be eaten throughout the day.

Enjoy.
