Caroline Flack’s boyfriend Lewis Burton is seemingly standing by her after her arrest for assault, sharing a loved-up picture of them together on Instagram.

The Love Island presenter was charged with assault by beating on Friday, following a private domestic incident at her home reportedly involving her partner.

On Saturday, Lewis shared an image of himself with Caroline on his Instagram Story, with a love heart emoji above the photo.

The picture was posted by Caroline on her own Instagram account in November and was taken during a night out at London’s Winter Wonderland.

Lewis was photographed outside his house in Sidcup, south-east London, on Saturday, amid claims published by The Sun that he would not be pressing charges against Caroline.

According to the MailOnline, he told photographers: “I have nothing to say.”

Caroline has not posted on social media since she was arrested following an incident at approximately 5.25am on Thursday, after reports of a man being assaulted.

Her representative said on Friday: “We confirm that police attended Caroline’s home following a private domestic incident. She is co-operating with the appropriate people to resolve matters.

“We will not be making any further comment for legal reasons.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said the man was treated by paramedics, although police said he was not seriously injured. “A person” was also taken to hospital.

Eye witnesses told the Daily Star, who broke the story, that six police vehicles were outside Caroline’s home after the incident was reported.

The presenter has since been released on bail and will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday 23 December.
