With Holly Willoughby currently on holiday from ‘This Morning’, you’d think Phillip Schofield would be feeling a little less mischievous in her absence, but clearly not.

The presenter was up to his usual tricks when stand-in host Christine Bleakley made an accidental innuendo on Tuesday (19 October).

The pair were hosting a segment with a load of puppies, when Christine showed viewers a picture of her pet pooch.

“Here’s my little one,” she said. “That’s little Minnie. That’s my little Minnie who I completely love and I let get away from everything.”

Phillip was then heard raising a chuckle, before saying: “I had to look up then when you said, ‘it’s a picture of my little Minnie.’”

Christine quickly realised what she’d said before bursting into laughter.

However, that wasn’t the only time Phillip raised an eyebrow on Tuesday’s show.

Christine was trying to do a link when she proclaimed: “Oh dear, I’m still eating. I’ve just got… oh, I won’t go into detail.”

An amused Phil then chipped in, saying: “You had a bit of sausage in your mouth then… is that what it was?”

Cue much giggling as the show cut to an ad break.

It is the first time Christine has hosted ‘This Morning’ since standing in for part of Holly’s maternity leave last year.

It was recently revealed she’s set to reunite with former ‘The One Show’ and ‘Daybreak’ host Adrian Chiles on a new show about friendship.

This Morning’ airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
