Endless sunshine, glitter make-up and luxe-looking cocktails in the Californian desert – Instagram paints a seriously enviable picture when it comes to Coachella.

Everyone who’s anyone usually attends the music festival (which has become so popular it now takes place twice in April) and you can guarantee that Grammy-winners, reality TV stars and Kardashians alike will be posting pictures from their weekend in paradise.

But if you’re feeling inspired and are considering a trip to Coachella in 2020, then hold that thought, because Montana Brown is here to reveal what it’s really like. And it ain’t pretty.

Posting on Instagram after travelling to the event last weekend, the Love Island star explained that she was taken there by her management company, adding that while she had “a wicked time [...] I need to address some things”.

“YES I took some nice pics and the acts were AMAZING…,” she said. “But I also had blisters from my shoes, you have to walk like an hour from the Uber drop off to the festival itself.

“It smelt like gerbils and I bought some loaded fries for about £20 and then at the end of all that when you finally get to the cab... you gotta pick sand and dust out your hair and nostrils.” [sic]

She continued: “It’s not as glam as it looks and on one day I legit got dressed 3 times in the space of an hour to get some pics so I hope you fucking enjoy them.”

The comments on Montana’s post are filled with fellow celebs agreeing, including model Leomie Anderson, who says: “Mate, if you don’t know what to expect this festival will slap you into next week loooool.”

Another user writes: “Agree with this - went in 2016 and you end up crispy, sweaty and dusty. And you can’t take alcoholics drinks out the designated area.”

The first of this year’s Coachella events took place last week and saw Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande headline, while other performers included Janelle Monáe and The 1975.

Most of the acts will return for round two this weekend.
