Three Dead And Three Injured After 'Tragic' Car Crash In North Wales

Police are investigating and say they are supporting the families of the deceased.

Three people have died after two vehicles collided on the outskirts of Denbigh on Friday evening, North Wales Police said.

The crash, involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a Vauxhall Astra, happened on the road between Denbigh and Trefnant just before 7.30pm on Friday.

A further three people were left seriously injured and taken to hospital, and another person suffered minor injuries.

The deceased were pronounced dead at the scene.

Superintendent Jane Banham of North Wales Police said: “This is a tragic incident in which sadly three people have lost their lives and our thoughts remain with their families at this difficult time.

“All three families are now being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers.

“Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and our officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who believes they have any dashcam footage of the incident itself or footage of the vehicles in the moments leading up to the incident.

“I would like to thank those members of the public who assisted at the scene, and equally I would like to thank all emergency services staff who were faced with a difficult scene.”

The road re-opened shortly after 3am this morning, police said.
