Sir Elton John has furiously hit back at sexual harassment accusations that have been made against him by a former employee.
The ‘Candle In The Wind’ singer is the subject of a lawsuit, which was first reported by TMZ on Tuesday morning, accusing him of three separate incidents of sexual harassment towards his former security guard, Jeffrey Wenninger.
However, Sir Elton’s attorney, Orin Snyder, has now vehemently denied these claims in a statement issued to Digital Spy, insisting that the security guard’s allegations are “baseless”, “patently untrue” and motivated by money.
He insists: “This baseless lawsuit is brought by a disgruntled former security officer seeking to extract an undeserved payment.
The suit alleges that Sir Elton made unwanted advances towards his security guard, including putting his hands down his trousers and attempting to “grab his genitals”, later telling him to “get his todger out” and “say hello to Uncle Elton”.
It has been suggested that although Jeffrey - who is suing for both battery and sexual harassment - attempted to resist both “verbally and physically”, he was unable to dissuade the British singer’s advances.
He claims there were also “several other incidents during his employment”, which is believed to have ended in September 2014, when he stopped working for Sir Elton.
