Facebook Face Swap Selfies Are About To Get Better. 'Iron Man' Explains Why

Tony Stark would be proud

Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg turned himself into Iron Man to announce some exciting news yesterday.

He was introducing Facebook's acquisition of MSQRD, an app that allows you to face swap or animate your selfies with a host of weird and wonderful filters,

Posting a video on his timeline, Zuckerberg's Iron Man filter seemed to be the appropriate choice given that he was "taking a break from coding" to break the news.

Several users commented hoping the Tony Stark-esque nature of the video would hopefully help Zuckerberg created an effective AI home assistant, much like Jarvis in Iron Man.

Caryn Marooney said: "It's good to work on an AI home assistant system while wearing an Iron Man mask.

"Probably helps you code faster."

The wannabe Iron Man replied: "Absolutely."

In a blog post, MSQRD commented on the new partnership saying: "While we will be partnering with Facebook to integrate our technology, the app will stay up and running so you’ll continue to record fun selfies and keep using the product."
