Four Men To Face Court Over Foiled Watch Shop Raid

Four men arrested after a failed raid on a luxury watch shop will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court today.

Charlie Kavanagh, 25, of Hedingham Close, Islington, north London, is charged with conspiracy to rob and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Stephen Hopkins, 29, address unknown, is charged with malicious wounding and conspiracy to rob.

James Symes, 30, of no fixed address, and Johnny Kyriacou, 25, also address unknown, are charged with conspiracy to rob.

The men were remanded in custody in connection with an attack on the Chronext store in Piccadilly at 11.25am on Wednesday.

Four members of Scotland Yard's anti-robbery team were injured during the attempted robbery.

One remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital after being run down by a moped.

Two officers suffered minor injuries with a third requiring treatment on a cut, the Metropolitan police said
