We’ve got some good news for anyone still holding out for a Friends reunion

Fifteen years since the last episode debuted, Jennifer Aniston has confirmed that “something” could well be in the works with her former co-stars.

The cast of Friends have always maintained that they wouldn’t want to revisit the classic sitcom characters, including Lisa Kudrow, who recently branded the idea “sad”.

However, speculation started up again earlier this month, when Jennifer joined Instagram and posted a photo with all six of her cast mates, marking the first time they’d been seen together since Friends came to an end in 2004.

When US TV presenter Ellen Degeneres questioned whether this meant there was something on the cards, Jennifer explained: “We would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is.”

However, she did add that they were “trying” to make a new project happen, insisting: “We’re working on something.”

Ellen then pressed whether it could be a film, but Jen remained tight-lipped, saying she doesn’t want to “lead people on” by giving any further information.

Jennifer was on Ellen’s talk show to promote her new dramedy The Morning Show, which is set to debut on Apple TV+ later this week, the most prolific of the new streaming service’s offerings.

The Morning Show sees Jennifer team up with Reese Witherspoon, who famously played her character’s sister in two episodes of Friends, with the two recently recreating their most famous on-screen exchange.
