While we’re counting down the days (four to go) until Game Of Thrones returns, there has been one thing bothering us... Can we remember all the key details from the previous seasons?
So far there have been a whopping 67 episodes of the HBO drama, and given that the most recent ones aired two years ago, some of the many twists and turns are a little fuzzy in our minds.
Thankfully James Corden – and one of the seriously dedicated writers on his US talk show – has got us covered, with a four-minute catch-up that covers all seven seasons.
The impressive recap features all the key events but more importantly, many of the smaller moments that might have slipped your mind, with some commentary (“Unlike Trump, the North has a wall”) thrown in too.
James also manages to squeeze in a reminder about Ed Sheeran’s cameo, which is one of the details we were actually trying to forget about.
The four-minute breakdown was penned by Late Late Show writer Lawrence Dai, who hadn’t actually seen Game Of Thrones until last week.
As James explains at the end of the video above, Lawrence pens all of the catch-ups featured on the show.
When they decided to do a GoT one, he revealed he’d never seen an episode which left them a choice: Get someone else to do it... or lock Lawrence in an office until he’d watched it all.
Naturally, they went with the latter.
Game Of Thrones series eight will start on Monday 15 April, simulcasting in the US and the UK in the early hours of the morning.
It will then be repeated on Sky Atlantic at the more workable time of 9pm.
