Grandmother Breaks Her Wrist, Recovers By Knitting Toys For Children In Hospital

Three cheers for this marvellous lady.

When you've broken your wrist, doctors usually advise you to exercise it after having your cast removed to build up its strength.

So one grandmother spent hours of her time knitting to speed up her recovery.

Instead of making hoards of scarfs for herself, the kind-hearted woman set about creating gorgeous toys for children at her local hospital.

An image of the toys was uploaded to Imgur by the woman's grandchild, known only as Aroumia.

Talk about making the best of a bad situation.
