‘Great British Bake Off’: Departure Of Fan Favourite Val Leaves Viewers Bereft

😭

We’re only a few weeks into the current series of ‘Great British Bake Off’, but many fans have already picked their favourites - which is why Wednesday’s (20 August) episode has caused heartbreak for so many.

This year, three bakers in particular - Candace, Selasi and Val - have captured the nation’s hearts, so naturally, when Val bid farewell to the ‘Bake Off’ tent, Twitter struggled to cope.

Some viewers totally fell to pieces:

Some viewers did their best to stay positive though, and we reckon these ones could be onto something...

Can we have a Val mini series just following her around doing day to day stuff #GBBO

Can Val just be given her own show where everything she bakes turns out a little odd and she says 'that's how I like it' all the time #GBBO

BBC, please commission Val's "Guess the seventies receipt prices" challenge as a gameshow immediately. #GBBO

The Beeb do knead - sorry - to replace ‘Bake Off’ now that Channel 4 have bought the rights to it.

What could possibly better than a show fronted by Val?
