Icelanders Debating Wi-Fi Free Zone

Icelanders are debating whether or not certain remote areas of natural beauty should be protected as “digital free zones”. Supporters believe that bringing internet to these spots will detract from the tranquility, while opposers say it’s dangerous to be in the wilderness without connectivity, in case of an emergency.
