Katy Perry has been accused of sexual misconduct by a model who starred in the video for her song Teenage Dream.

In a series of Instagram posts, Josh Kloss alleged the singer pulled on his trousers to flash his genitals to other people at a party in July 2012.

Writing on the ninth anniversary of the song’s release, he said: “This one time I brought a friend who was dying to meet her. It was Johnny Wujek’s birthday party at Moonlight Rollerway. And when I saw her, we hugged and she was still my crush.

“But as I turned to introduce my friend, she pulled my Adidas sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around us, my penis.”

Josh claimed the incident left him feeling “pathetic and embarrassed” but had agreed to stay silent because he needed the video job.

He claimed he had decided to speak out because “our culture is set on proving men of power are perverse, but females with power are just as disgusting”.

He added: “Happy anniversary to one of the most confusing, assaulting, and belittling jobs I’ve ever done.”

Reps for Katy Perry declined to comment when contacted by Variety. HuffPost UK has reached out to clarify this.

Johnny Wujek, the host of the party where the incident is alleged to have taken place, later challenged Josh on Instagram, calling the accusations “bullshit”.

He claimed the model had an “obsession” with Katy and that he should “move on”.

Josh issued a response insisting he “does not want fame or money for this”, adding that the song’s anniversary made him realise, “hey now is the time to let it out and let it go”.
