Another six episodes of the ITV drama are on their way.

Filming has officially begun on the second series of ITV’s Liar and to mark the occasion, details about what fans can expect from the new episodes have been revealed.

Series one ended with the discovery of Andrew Earlham’s murdered body, and the second run will up three weeks after the warrant was issued for his arrest for the sexual assault of 19 women.

His body will soon be found on the Kent marshes, leaving Detective Renton and DS Rory Maxwell tasked with uncovering key clues about his past, and the three weeks leading up to the murder.

Series two will consist of six hour-long episodes.

The first series was ITV’s highest-rated new drama of 2017, triumphing in the ratings battle after going up against the BBC’s own thriller from the Williams brothers, Rellik.

Liar’s final episode drew in a total of 9.1million viewers while the whole series average was 8.3million.

There’s no word yet on exactly when series two will air.
