Miranda Kerr’s security guard has been stabbed in the eye during a fight with an intruder at her Malibu home.
Despite his injuries, the guard shot his assailant, who had been trying to climb over a fence into home of the Australian model and her son.
Both men are being treated in a Los Angeles hospital for their injuries, which are not life-threatening, according to the LA County Sheriff.
TMZ website has reported that Miranda was not home at the time.
The Sheriff’s office has announced that the guard was stabbed just below the eye in the altercation, which took place on Friday morning LA time.
The guard was carrying a handgun and “shot the intruder three or four times in the face and torso”.
This incident comes a fortnight after Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris residence.
Miranda Kerr is divorced from British actor Orlando Bloom, and is engaged to billionaire Snapchat co-founder/CEO Evan Spiegel. She has made no comment on the incident as yet.
