Mitt Romney celebrated his 72nd birthday today by messing up something so simple there are literally millions of videos online of two-year-olds doing it.

Romney, who once wanted to be President of the United States, apparently doesn’t know how to blow out candles on a birthday cake.

Behold as he circles the cake in awe proclaiming: “Just what I always wanted, holy cow!”

So far, so normal. But then he removes all of the candles from the cake, and blows them out, one-by-one.

Maybe it’s a hygiene thing – come to think of it, blowing across a cake before serving it up to your friends and family is a bit weird.

But there is a clue to the method in his cake-based madness – as he blows each one out, he says: “These are all wishes I’m getting”.

That’s right, Mitt Romney has learned how to game birthday cake for the maximum amount of wishes.
