Myleene Klass once (rather modestly) described herself as a "musician, TV presenter, author, businesswoman, model, interviewer, columnist, pop star, designer, DJ and mother", and now the star has revealed who (or should that be what?) she has to thank for her illustrious career - her famous white bikini.
The former Hear'Say warbler caused a right old stir when she stepped in the jungle shower on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' in 2006 wearing a white two-piece, and now she has paid tribute to the iconic piece of swimwear.
Speaking about the moment that relaunched her fledgling career, Myleene told Brian Conely on 'TV That Made Me' (via The Sun): “A lot came from it. However, it was an accident I even had that bikini because I went to go into the jungle – and we’re talking about a couple of hours before I went in – and one of the producers saw my bikini and said, ‘You can’t wear that, it’s going to strobe’.
“So I just ran into a local store and went, ‘Give me the plainest, plainest bikini you have!’
“I owe it all to the girl who went, ‘We’ve got this for $20’.”
Following her appearance on 'I'm A Celeb', Myleene went on to co-host 'The One Show', 'Popstar To Operastar' and 'Loose Women', as well as fronting her own radio shows on Classic FM and Smooth Radio.
She has also modelled for Marks and Spencer and Littlewoods, and is regularly seen posing in her underwear for the latter.
After leaving the jungle, Myleene also auctioned off the famous bikini for a whopping £7,500, giving the proceeds to charity.
"I don’t know where it’s gone and I don’t want to think about who’s got it!” she joked.
