The baking champ has revealed she turned down the chance to appear on the ITV reality series and now “regrets” the decision.
Speaking to the Guardian, Nadiya said: “I got asked to do I’m a Celebrity this year, and a bit of me regrets not doing it.
“It’s just so cold in Wales: if I’m going to have cockroaches in my pants I’d rather it be in the sun, thanks. Still, I can’t help wondering what it would have been like.”
Nadiya was likely invited to appear on I’m A Celebrity after she publicly said she would be keen to take part in the dreaded Bushtucker eating trials, which sees celebrity contestants chowing down on a range of culinary nasties.
“That’s the bit I’d love to do,” she told HuffPost UK in 2018. “I’m scared to fly out of a plane and stuff, but my goodness give me a jug of blitzed up balls. No problem, I’ll have ’em!”
Despite seemingly being up for I’m A Celebrity, she’s not so keen on appearing on the show that made her a household name again.
Nadiya recently admitted she wouldn’t want to take part in an all-stars series of Bake Off, revealing it is too “stressful”.
