Olympics star Max Whitlock will turn off ITV as the broadcaster shuts down for an hour.
As part of a national sports day event called I Am Team GB, ITV is encouraging viewers to get off their sofas and do some exercise instead.
Double Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Whitlock, 23, will pull the lever to switch off all ITV channels in a clip shown just before programming stops.
Television fans will miss out on an episode of Murder She Wrote and will also be unable to watch the Coronation Street omnibus.
Having returned home from Rio 2016 after winning their best medals haul in 108 years, many members of Team GB will be joining members of the public for sports events across the country.
As the bank holiday begins, hundreds of venues and clubs are opening their doors free of charge as part of a collaboration between the National Lottery and ITV.
Whitlock, who will join members of the public for some handball at the Copper Box Arena in London's Olympic Park, has said: "I first started gymnastics in Hemel Hempstead at Sapphire School of Gymnastics.
"Knowing how friendly and life-changing clubs like this can be, I'd encourage everyone to get involved in I Am Team GB - the nation's biggest-ever sports day."
Soap enthusiasts may want to head to the Coronation Street in Manchester, where gold medal-winning cyclist Elinor Barker will be taking part in an event on the cobbles.
Other Olympians taking part in events across the country include rowers Karen Bennett, Katie Greves and Helen Glover, cox Zoe de Toledo, swimmer Jazz Carlin, trampolinist Bryony Page and gymnast Amy Tinkler.
