There will soon only be one Blockbuster left in the world, as a branch of the video-rental chain is set close in Perth, Australia this week. The last Blockbuster standing is in Bend, Oregon. The outlet has become part-video rental shop, part-museum, as nostalgia for an age of VHS brings a generation of sofa cinephiles to come peruse the available tapes. At its peak in 2004, Blockbuster employed 84,300 people worldwide in its 9,094 stores.
