‘Top Gear’: Jenson Button ‘Wanted For Presenting Role’ By BBC Bosses

The F1 driver impressed viewers when he made a guest appearance in the last series.

BBC bosses are reportedly desperate to get Jenson Button to join the ‘Top Gear’ presenting team, following his successful guest appearances in the most recent series of the show.

Matt LeBlanc and his fellow hosts are currently filming new episodes of the programme, but they could be joined by a last-minute addition in the form of F1 driver Jenson.

The Sun reports that producers want Jenson to front a one-off segment for the series, with a view to then signing him up to the team on a more permanent basis.

Matt has reportedly landed a big money deal for his second series of the motoring show, following the departure of Chris Evans.

The former ‘Friends’ actor is going to be joined by Rory Reid and Chris Harris, who were on the extended presenting team of this year’s series, while Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz and The Stig will continue to make “regular appearances”.
