ITVBe aired a special retrospective to commemorate the docusoap's 200th episode, 'The Power Of TOWIE', during which cast members past and present reflected on how ‘TOWIE’ has developed over its years on the air.
However, while a number of its most successful stars appeared, Lauren was noticeably absent, and fans soon questioned whether her absence had anything to do with the fact her ex Mark Wright was hosting the show:
Lauren also fuelled speculation with her own cryptic post, which read: “Getting a lot of tweets about @OnlyWayIsEssex 200th episode and asking where Iam?I haven't watched it yet but can only guess..Hope u enjoy.”
Earlier this year, though, ITVBe told Metro that Lauren was unable to film scenes due to other commitments, stating: “She was overseas when the documentary was filmed so couldn’t take part.”
The ‘TOWIE’ cast has undergone a number of changes since first arriving on our screens back in 2010, with the latest addition to the ever-growing cast being Megan McKenna, previously of 'Ex On The Beach' and 'Celebrity Big Brother' fame.
Megan wasted no time in making herself at home during her debut, and within minutes, she was in middle of a giant row with Chloe Sims, which we can only assume is a sign of things to come.
