Military parade

This year’s July Fourth Independence Day celebrations will be a little different than previous years with US President Donald Trump presiding over a parade which will be a show of military might. As tanks prepare to roll down the capital’s avenues and past the Lincoln Memorial, the move has been criticised some Democrats and even the Washington DC city council as a waste of taxpayer money.

All manner of vehicles have taken to air, land and sea, as Russia demonstrate their readiness for war with military drills and exercises. This is the largest since 1981, near the end of The Cold War.
