Toned, tanned and rippling with muscles, these body builders present a whole new face of female beauty.
The eye-catching gallery is a collection of some of the world’s top female body builders, captured by photographer Martin Schoeller.
He said: “‘I am trying to show the vulnerability that I see and feel in the subjects when I am with them, to get to the complex emotions behind a mask of extreme physical expression.
“These women mirror our modern cultural hunger for size, aggression, and attention at any cost. We are in the age of Bigness."
Schoeller has photographed Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie and George Clooney, among many others.

The amount of fat loss and muscle gain that these women practise to attain makes them into pseudo-men, no matter how much make-up they use. Testosterone is the male hormone, they're producing it in shedloads. Who's kidding who that these people are in any way representative of 'womanhood'? As for beauty, well, there are some great looking Trannys and some very beautiful men, who are not in the least bit feminine. There is some grotesque, dark beauty here, but at such a price, I really don't like it.

Fascinating, really. To each their own, and I wouldn't mind walking with one of these gals down a scary street. But pretty? It's a different kind of beauty to be sure. I wonder, does this sport prematurely age a girl? They all look kind of leathery.

The old saying "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder." Not this beholder. These women look hard, aged, rough, and well...........like a cave woman might have looked. Nothing feminine about these women.
