Police have released CCTV images of Gemma McCluskie's last days in an appeal for fresh information about the former EastEnders star's death.

McCluskie was last seen on Thursday 1 March, when she attended the opening of the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

McCluskie, 29, was carrying a Louis Vuitton bag and wearing a yellow long-sleeved top, with a round neck and navy-blue leggings.

Detective Superintendent Fiona Mallon, of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, said it was important to piece together her last movements: "It is important that we piece together Gemma's movements from Wednesday 29 February until the discovery in Regent's Canal in Hackney on Tuesday 6 March.

"We also urge anyone with any significant information about this case to contact us as soon as possible. In particular we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around her home address in Pelter Street in Bethnal Green."

A man was arrested in connection with the murder on 7 March. He remains in custody.
