Explicit Images Girl
The girl was bullied until she sent an explicit video and images of herself to the teenager

A teenager has been detained after he circulated an explicit video of a 14-year-old girl to fellow pupils at her school.

The 16-year-old bullied the young girl for months, calling her "fat", until she relented and sent him a video of her stripping, as well as a naked picture of herself.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, then sent both to the girl's friends and the material made its way around her school, the Daily Mail reported.

The teenager was sentenced at Peterborough Youth Court to 10 months at a young offenders' institute

The boy was told by the chairman of the bench his actions were "horrendous".

"What you did will have a lasting effect on her."

Why is anyone suprised at this, we live in a society in which we are all bombarded by sexual images. Even worse in general people have very low or non existent morals, basically what ever feels good just do it.

When you include the mobile phone and internet especially face book etc we are in a very dangerous time. How many people are addicted to online porn.most serial killers are addicted to porn. While people may think its harmless it makes boys/men view women as sex objects. I don't agree with mixed secondary schools either.

What an awful indictment of our "modern" world I personally adore women how on earth do males come to mistreat a lady so evilly and awfully is it nature or nurture ? Red xxx

I agree that this is inexcuable and a disgusting thing to do to a young girl whatever context it happens in but i have to say i don't understand how a boy calling a young girl 'fat' and other derogatory names whilst bullying her could lead to, or make her decide to send him a video of herself 'stripping' and 'naked'? That just doesn't make any sense at all to me. Far be it from me to try and defend this boy but it makes me wonder if that is the 'true' version of events. It just doesn't make sense is all but this boy does definately deserve to be punished for circulating this video either way and i suspect he may be subject to a bit of bullying himself in the very near future. They say what goes around comes around after all.........

You don't think that possibly he said something like prove you're not fat ? Whilst in no way defending his behaviour "sexting" is becoming more and more common amongst teenagers . Rihanna was stated as saying she felt sorry for boys whose girlfriends don't send them sexy pictures of themselves . She might have meant slightly older people than young teens but they don't always realise that . When you are young you don't understand just how transient boy/girlfriends are . I know in this case he wasn't her boyfriend but just trying to make the point that they just don't see this with the same eyes as adults.

Can;t see why he can't be named at 16, what he has done is disgusting but if he gets put away he will get protection, a telly maybe a computer game to play plus a few other luxuries and a new Identity when released as our law is a joke. which is proberly why when released half of them go on to reoffend !!!

I thought women/girls have a great life and respected in the "free" world...is this what the wars are being fought for?

His cheap laugh has cost dearly, to the poor girl he has traumatised and also himself. Beware everyone has videos on cameras and social networking these days is fierce. My husband has warned our girls about allowing themselves to be compromised, as once film is out there it cannot be retrieved.

The trouble is that they don't always think they will be compromised . Boy/girl relationships can be very intense and they are convinced that this is the one . They just can't consider that a few weeks down the line it might well be over . He probably did think it was just a cheap laugh and never considered the consequences .

If an adult commited the same offence would a 10mth scentence be passed? I doubt it. This youth should have been scentenced as an adult. ( Equality in law ) The only differene being a young offrenders instution. In my view a young offrender is an adult at 18yrs and thus celebrate 18th birthday by being removed to an adult prison Correct me if I am wrong An 18yr old has the vote, can sign a mortage or other loan, get married without parents consent?

He is 16 and committed the offence at 16 - hence sent to a YOI - however he should have been dealt a harsher sentence ofr his stupidy.

16 year old boys do tend to act stupidly ! The consequences for the girl were no doubt terrible but I am sure he was just meaning to having a cheap laugh at her expense. I think the sentence is probably about right .

About time too, this type of thing should be stamped out, he should also be banned from owning any form of equipment that can transmit this type of information.

I'd put his parents in the cell beside him for the same length of time. Disgraceful

I hope the others who shared it were punished too. Shows how the schools policy on bullying didn't work either.
