Strictly Come Dancing Judge Wants Prince Harry For Ballroom Show

Craig Revel Horwood

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood wants Prince Harry to strut his stuff on the ballroom show.

The dancer and choreographer said the show, which was won last year by McFly drummer Harry Judd, needed a broader range of contestants.

He said: "I would like royalty up there, I'd like Prince Harry to show us his Cha-cha-cha, or someone like Sharon Osbourne would be fun.

"Maybe a fashion designer or an architect or a lawyer, someone who is at the top of their game, rather than just someone else from EastEnders or Holby City".

Revel Horwood has recently seen the other side of a talent show - triumphing over mathematician Marcus du Sautoy in the final of the celebrity conducting challenge Maestro at the Opera - and said he does not intend to drop the baton now the show is over.

The Australian-born star plans to return to the Royal Opera House, where the show finale was filmed, in his own time to conduct trios and quartets this summer.

All rather demeaning for all concerned not least HM. Has Craig forgotten the " Its a Knockout" debacle orchestrated by Harrys' uncle Edward! Next he will asking the Archbishop of Canterbury and Lord Sugar complete with frock coat. I think thats enough free publicity for you and the Show Mr R-H.

Dont you mean the non royal Prince Hewitt?

It would make life miserable for all the other contestants. The Royals come equipped with a massive and intrusive security presence. It wouldn't be the man's fault, but for the good of the show he should keep away.

It would be just another step in reducing the royal family tnto soap opera - so it might not be a bad thing!

If he wants a broader range of contestants why dont they get some Monkeys I feel sure they will be more entertaining that these over made up members of the St Vitus Dance club.
I feel sure Prince Harry has more sense than to demeane himself on cheap horrible entertainment.
At least when it was come dancing you were watching the general public
Now it is all about celebrities, in fact I get sick of all this celebritiy stuff on TV , most game shows now just never show the general public as contestants.

Silly man. This will never happen.
Perhaps they could get the Queen on the show instead. They could cover her with a spray tan, fill her head with ridiculous hair extensions, smack more make up on her than a Boots counter could ever sell, and then she would be just like any of the other female judges on these shows. The only difference would be is she has had an education, unlike that awful Aleesha woman with her witches cackling laugh
Time "our Brucie" was put out to pasture, as he is cringemaking

I've got a better idea. Craig should do it himself, with Ann Robinson sitting in for him as resident evil judge. She probably knows nothing about dancing but is good at insulting people and should be able to award very low points.

can you imagine all the sucking up there would be,it would spoil the show,we already know how exelcent they all are at doing things-nobody would stand a chance.

'It's a Royal Knockout' all those years ago destroyed any chances of Craigs dream coming true!

you might get harry for a charity one but could you see how everyone would maon on boards like this about what a waste of money he would be as we have paid for his training etc,its bad enough when any of the family have to fit royal work in with their own people thinking its a holiday etc

Really Craig. You don't honestly think a member of the Royal Family would take part on Strictly, certainly not Prince Harry being a Senior member of the Royal Family.

This would be very awkward for everyone concerned. But I do agree, it make a change to have someone who is top of their game, other than another from Eastenders,Coronation Street etc.

I think it would be great to see Harry on Strictly. Certainly up the ratings but I doubt if he would have time.
12:05 on 20/05/2012
Oh yes. Sharon Osbourne's really what you'd call Royalty.

Show them what you are made of just like your mum danced and showed the world

What about SCD getting Sir Brucie to strut his stuff we see so much of twinkle toes at the start of the show if not give the dancing and jokes up there crapy
