Senior Kent Police Officer Arrested For Shoplifting

A senior female police officer has been arrested in connection with theft from a supermarket.

Superintendent Rachel Adams from Kent Police is alleged to have taken £30 of goods, thought to include cosmetics, from an Asda superstore near her home.

Ms Adams is the area commander for the Medway in Kent.

A statement from Kent Police said: "On 27 August, a 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft in Kings Hill.

"She was later released on police bail until October 11."
