Nasa Image Shows Dust, Sea Salt, Smoke And Fossil Fuel Emissions (PHOTO)

This stunning new image released by Nasa shows how dust, sea salt and smoke is swirled around the globe by weather.

Dust (red) is lifted from the surface, sea salt (blue) swirls inside cyclones, smoke (green) rises from fires, and sulfate particles (white) stream from volcanoes and fossil fuel emissions.

The high-resolution picture from the Discover supercomputer at the NASA Center for Climate Simulation at Goddard Space Flight Centre "provides a unique tool to study the role of weather in Earth's climate system," says Nasa.

Stunning image there from NASA but the use of it for scare mongering by public media is terrible. Atmospheric sea salt = a natural process. The 'dust' (which is almost entirely all the atomspheric pollution shown) comes from the Saharra and again totally natural. Sulphur particles are again a natural process, admittedly there is sulphur from volcanic activity and sulphur from anthropogenic uses but this picture does nothing but look pretty.
I will never contest the destruction of the world's climate due to man but this picture does not address that, just gives sceptics more fuel in their (coal burning) fire.

...so where the humans will go from here.... ? Are they going to finally understand their responsibility as the stewards of the planet? Earth is a sentient being which can live without her creatures, and I mean humans...

1 volcanic eruption produces as much Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide and Sulpher Dioxide as every Man, Woman and Child has Ever produced. Stop cutting down Trees. The Lungs of the Planet.

Our planet is sick

isn't it amazing that one of the biggest polluters look so clean on this map, i am talking here about the usa.

China actually.

It doesn't show (in most cases) where the pollution originated. The vast majority of this atmospheric 'pollution' in this picture is in the jet stream and high in the atmosphere (bar the heavier dust particulate matter).

Wow!

More green snot. The biggest polluter of this planet is the planet itself. Nature has been polluting this planet for much longer than man and will always be ahead of us.

Anyone who thinks that 150 years of weather records establishs a pattern in a system billions of years old needs their bumps felt

The big con continues

It would appear the least polluting element is volcanic and fossil fuel emissions. No surprise there!

Looks rather pretty. We need more smoke though.
18:42 on 15/11/2012
Is dust and sea salt, pollution? They don't occur naturally? How do we stop this from happening?
Chicken little.

.....I maybe mistaken ....but it seems to be most concentrated over the war zones of the world ......
