Google's recent update to its Android mobile OS appears to have a fairly major omission.
According to reports in various tech blogs, certain handsets using its 4.2 update are missing December in key built-in applications.
Android Police said that 4.2 is lacking the month in its People/Contacts app, and the flaw has been verified in Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 devices, and some Nexus 7 tablets.
Some commenters on Gizmodo said they couldn't find the problem, however - and the issue did not affect the OS calendar app or other programs.
But now Google has acknowledged the issue, and said that it is "tracking" the flaw.
Expect the company to issue a swift update to correct the bug - hopefully before December actually comes around and Christmas gets officially cancelled.
