Stress can have negative effects on our health. Studies suggest that stress could disrupt short-term memory, put strain on the heart or even speed the spread of breast cancer.

With a quarter of Brits admitting to getting stressed everyday, HuffPost UK Lifestyle wanted to highlight the impact stress can have on our body.

Earlier this week HuffPost Healthy Living created a fantastic infographic which details how the body responds to stress. And we just couldn't resist sharing it with our readers for the 'weekly wellbeing' segment.
