A few months ago, Sir Ian McKellen visited Ross High School in Edinburgh and gave a really rather wonderful speech.

"He generated a real feeling of positivity that brought staff and pupils together," said one teacher. "I think it was something very memorable, as it won’t happen again. His speech was very inspirational," added a student.

And why was his speech so inspiring? Not just because, as the Deputy Head Teacher noted, he "put equal and positive treatment of all individuals - regardless of background, beliefs or orientation - at the heart of collegiate school belief".

But because he also came up with a very funny, really rather awesome, final line.

The clip of him delivering it is now going viral - just click on the video above to find out why.
