Glastonbury 2015: James Blunt Manages To Fool Fans Into Believing He'd Replaced Foo Fighters As Headliner

James Blunt Jokes He's Headlining Glasto... And People Actually Believed Him

With his hilarious approach to internet trolls and the ability to send himself up, James Blunt has long been the master of Twitter - and now he’s struck again.

The ‘You’re Beautiful’ singer hilariously announced that he had been lined up to replace Foo Fighters at Glastonbury, after the rock band were forced to pull out due to frontman Dave Grohl’s broken leg.

Making light of the search to find a new act to play the Pyramid Stage on Friday night of next week’s festival, he tweeted: “Amazed and thrilled to get the call from @GlastoFest to headline in place of @foofighters. Of course I said yes! #rockon.”

Despite being known for his sarcasm, some of James’ 1.9 million followers actually fell for the prank:

Thankfully, others got the joke:

On Wednesday afternoon, Glasto bosses confirmed that Florence + The Machine are being bumped up the bill to replace Foo Fighters.

Friday: Burt Bacharach vs. Gregory Porter
