A man has inexplicably resorted to using an electric drill to drain the liquid from inside a cyst on his wrist.

Identified only as Jason, the man, who has been documenting his journey with a video diary, decided to put an end to his trauma by taking a power tool to the offending growth.

He can be heard screaming in agony as the drill pierces into the skin, in an aim to release the yellow substance from inside.

According to Medical News Today, cysts are closed capsules or sac-like structures and are typically filled with liquid, semisolid or gaseous material.

Similar to a blister, they occur within tissue, and can affect any part of the body. They also vary in size from microscopic to the size of some team-sport balls.
