Conrad Williams

British 400m athlete

Conrad Williams is a British 400m athlete who will have high hopes achieving some success at this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Williams only started sprinting at the age of 20. Incredibly, within eight months he was representing Team GB. Now 32 years of age, he is well-established on the world stage, having won silver medals as part of the British 4x400m relay at the 2009 World Championships, and in the European Championships of 2010 and 2012 respectively.

Supported by the GLL Sports Foundation, a leading foundation that independently supports young sporting talent, Williams follows a strict training regime of up to 3-4 hours a day to get into shape and competition ready. Incorporating a mix of track workouts with gym sessions, Williams uses Technogym equipment, official fitness equipment supplier to the Commonwealth Games, to achieve the optimum power-to-weight ratio.
