Nadav Israel co-founded mobile data analytics and personalization platform, Pixoneye, with Ofri Ben Porat in 2015. Since then, the company has received widespread industry recognition; Pixoneye was named finalist of Unilever’s Next Big Thing awards, it was singled out as part of the top 1% of Israeli start-ups by Microsoft Ventures and in February 2016, it won the Digital Media award at 4YFN during MWC 2016. Nadav has over 10 years’ experience in R&D management and real time algorithm development in the field of computer vision and machine learning, and was formerly the lead researcher at Eyesight® and researcher at Samsung® semiconductors in the field of computer vision. He is 39 years old and happily married, living with his wife and two children in Tel Aviv. He has an M.Sc. In EE from TAU.
Brands will look for certain personas. The demographic for a cool new fashion line is unlikely to be those aged 60 plus, so the profiles of elderly users won't be of use. However, a recently-launched dentures brand would be interested in targeting this audience.
We need to rethink what it means to move something to the server, cloud or otherwise. We can embrace the cloud, but we need to deal very carefully with what we send to it. People need more control when it comes to their personal information, and we have to stop this obsession with moving data around for the sake of it.
