Lingerie grump, turning it into a business. Healthy 'thriver' of two bouts of breast cancer. Most likely to say, "Portia, is a genius".

Entrepreneur and founder of Millie Lingerie, I'm a healthy ‘thriver’ who’s been successfully treated for breast cancer twice. I’m a woman on a mission, busy turning my grump about the lack of choice of gorgeous lingerie for women to wear after breast cancer treatment into a business.

I’ve teamed up with an AP designer, and together we’ve created the first millie bra, and she’s a soft, wire free, lacy beauty. We’ve taken a year to design this first bra, it's one of a planned wardrobe of bras to address the moments women face when they try to get dressed after breast cancer treatment.

I believe that lingerie is an intimate form of self expression, which every woman is entitled to, especially after the rigours of breast cancer treatment. It should not be taken away just because something has happened to her.

The millie bra is currently to be found centre stage on Kickstarter where we're fundraising to continue with our development and first manufacture. You can find out more at millielingerie.com or follow us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

I live in Nottingham where my business is based, and enjoy walking, swimming and practising yoga to keep my body and mind healthy. I'm an avid Strictly Come Dancing fan, getting my daily steps in prancing around the kitchen, with no shame. I'm the mother of two fabulous daughters aged 22 and 19 who amuse and bemuse me in almost equal measure, still!
