We're surrounded by a huge number of learning accessories to help children learn the basics of letters, words, numbers and languages. Sometimes though, it's the really simple things that can be the most effective. Flashcards definitely fall into that category.
Flashcards can help link verbal and visual skills together, enabling your child to relate the image on the flashcard to the sound of the letter or word they need to learn.
They're also beneficial later on down the line when it comes to exams. All you need to do is enter the question on one side of the flash card, and the answer on the other.
You can create your own flashcards, which is a cheap and easy option. However, there are plenty of pre-printed cards available too. This Nerdy Baby ABCs and123s set from Etsy ($30) is particularly brilliant, as it's aimed at mini-Einsteins.
