The Disturbing Celebrity Trend Of Cheating Fathers

You can't seem to turn the television on these days without seeing news of the latest celebrity cheating scandal. In the last few months alone, we've heard stories of many big name celebrity men playing away from home. They're not always the obvious suspects either. Before his extensive indiscretions were revealed, who would have had Tiger Woods down as a player? The same goes for squeaky-clean TV presenter Vernon Kay, who recently admitted to sending racy texts to a buxom Page Three model.

Married to beautiful and seemingly lovely women, the papers often disregard the feelings of the families to dig as much dirt on them as possible. Sadly, it seems like a lot of celebrities are foolish enough to give them the opportunity to discover things.

So why are so many celebrity men cheating on the mother of their children?

Opinions are divided on why men cheat when their partner is pregnant or have children, and it would be ridiculous to think that only men cheat during this emotional roller coaster of a time.

A popular theory is that men feel they're missing out on regular sex during this period of time, but this seems a little patronising. Another suggestion I've heard a lot is that men see their partner differently once they've had children, taking on the Mother role and coming across as less sexy.

Rich men in the public eye seem to be the most vulnerable to this kind of behaviour, especially as they tend to be inundated with offers wherever they seem to turn.

But do these men deserve our sympathy? Should we be happy for them to be named and shamed in this way when, after all, most of them have young children?
