Liberty: London's best shop

Time Out London

magazine has voted Liberty the city's best shop.

The department store took top honours because shopping within its mock-Tudor walls is an "experience to savour," according to the Time Out team. And we know what they are talking about.

Not only was the store refurbished last year, but they've also recently hired a whole raft of style mavens to freshen up the place as well as launched a series of in-store events – our favourite was the patchwork quilt lessons.

Liberty was chosen number one by an impressive panel, which included Katie Grand, Henry Holland, Lulu Kennedy, a potentially biased Yasmin Sewell (she was Liberty's chief creative consultant until recently), and Time Out shopping and style editors Maggie Davis and Dan Jones.

"A year after its renaissance, Liberty continues to surprise us with its jaw-dropping interior, brilliant exclusives and excellent service," Jones told us. "It's London's most iconic and eccentric department store." Congratulations Liberty.
