Hugh Grant has confessed that he regrets starring in the comedy Nine Months because the film was distributed by Rupert Murdoch's 20th Century Fox.
The actor, who played commitment-phobe Samuel Faulkner in the 1995 movie, has now revealed he doesn't think he could ever work on a Fox film again.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Grant said: "It would certainly stick in my craw to work for Fox. I did make one film for them 16 years ago but I was naive then. I didn't even know who owned [the studio]."
Grant went on to say that he doesn't care if his stance against the Murdoch media empire causes him to miss out on future acting roles.
"It doesn't bother me at all... I'm not wildly ambitious to make lots of films at the moment anyway," he added.
Grant played a pivotal role in exposing Murdoch-owned tabloid News of the World's phone hacking scandal by secretly taping a conversation with journalist Paul McMullen, who alleged that the newspaper's editors had encouraged reporters to engage in illegal phone tapping.
Grant is one of a number of celebrities considering suing Murdoch’s News International for illegally accessing his voicemail.
