Prince Harry has visited Salford to meet fire fighters who were attacked by looters during last week's riots in Greater Manchester.
The prince talked to the Blue Watch fire crews who had bricks thrown at them as they attempted to put out the more than 300 fires started by the mobs, who also looted shops and attacked cars.
Taking a day off from training to fly Apache helicopters in Suffolk, the prince watched videos of the fire crews' work on the night. Six fire engines were injured after rioters placed nails across roads.
Harry visited the Salford Fire Station where he also met with fire cadets, Community Action team members and local members of the Prince's Trust.
He also visited Salford Ambulance Station and talked to emergency workers and hazardous area response teams who responded to calls during the disturbances.
Those workers dealt with 27 incidents in the region during the riots, 12 of which were in Salford.
The prince's visit follows the tour of riot-hit areas of London yesterday by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
